March for Clean Water.

EGY took part in the March for Clean Water on 3 November 2024, standing alongside communities, activists, and industry professionals to make the case for sustainable water management and clean water for all.

The march brought together a cross-section of people with a single shared position: that what is happening to our rivers and waterways is not acceptable, and that the infrastructure response to date has not been good enough.

As engineers focused on water, landscape, and long-term resilience, we do not need to be persuaded that this matters. The urgent need for better water infrastructure, stronger nature-based solutions, and sustained investment in preventing pollution at source is the work we are already part of. Days like this matter because they make the case publicly, and put it beyond reasonable dispute.
