The EGY Trust takes a fixed allocation of EGY’s profit share and puts it to work. Every year, that allocation funds the design and construction of community infrastructure. We focus on outdoor spaces, nature-based projects, and facilities that people actually use.
Projects are designed by EGY Design and built by our sister company EGY Builds. Materials, labour, and professional time are donated in full.
Profit share goes in.

What we have built
Bedelands Nature Reserve Bridge
A new oak pedestrian bridge at Bedelands Nature Reserve, West Sussex, spanning a tributary of the River Adur upstream of Holmbush Mill.
The existing bridge was no longer serviceable. Its replacement enhances accessibility while providing a durable, long-term crossing.
The bridge was designed by EGY Design and constructed by EGY Builds offsite and installed over a four-day site installation. Constructed from English oak and other locally sourced materials, it combines modern engineering with traditional craftsmanship. All materials and labour were donated.
The Big Swing Build
A six-seater hexagonal swing for The Gattons Infant School.
The idea originated from the school and its PTA. We supported the project through a joint effort between EGY Design and our sister company, EGY Builds. Together, we donated over 100 hours of labour, 10 hours of consultancy, and more than £2,000 worth of materials.
The result is a striking, durable, and interactive play feature that allows six children to swing together — encouraging teamwork, communication, and joyful connection.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR
The Trust focuses on projects where engineering intersects with landscape, ecology, and community use.
Schools, nature reserves, community groups & trusts, local charities. Together we co-design and sometimes co-build.
We design and build. Projects need to fall within our technical range and are constructable by a small, skilled team.
We are looking for infrastructure, not events. Things that exist and function after we leave.
