Merton

Keri Trimmer, Co-Founder of EGY, has been appointed to the London Borough of Merton Design Review Panel. An independent group of built environment professionals providing expert advice on the design quality of major developments and public realm proposals across the borough.

The Design Review Panel occupies a specific and important role in the planning system. It sits outside the line of decision-making, which gives it the freedom to be direct: to say clearly what a scheme is doing well, what it is not, and what better design would look like. That independence is its value.

Keri brings to the panel direct project experience across blue-green infrastructure, public realm, and civil engineering in London. Having grown up in Morden and worked in Wimbledon, she knows the borough not just as a practitioner but as someone with a long personal connection to how it feels and functions.

“Having grown up in Morden and worked in Wimbledon, a large part of my family and professional life is rooted in Merton. It is great to now have the opportunity to help shape the borough’s future through the Design Review Panel.”

Keri Trimmer, Co-Founder, EGY

Design review works best when the people in the room have genuinely delivered the kind of work they are being asked to assess. The gap between a good scheme and a compliant one is often where the most useful conversation happens.
